Culloden residents will vote in the general municipal election on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 — the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. One city office is on the ballot for this election.

Culloden: 250 Years of American Independence
The Monroe County Historical Society is marking America's 250th anniversary with a two-part exhibition on Culloden — one of the county's oldest settlements — tracing land expansion, agriculture, and home life across two and a half centuries. The project is supported by Georgia Humanities in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development, with funding from the Georgia General Assembly.
Part 1 · Through 1900
Closing September 26, 2026
The first installment opened in March 2026 and follows Culloden from its earliest settlement through the turn of the twentieth century — the revolutionary era, the town's founding, and life in early Georgia. It concludes its run on September 26, the same day Part 2 opens.
Part 2 · 1900 to Present
Grand opening Saturday, September 26, 2026 · 12–3 PM
“Culloden and the 21st Century: Our Story Continues” picks up in 1900 and carries the story to the present day — including the boll weevil's destruction of King Cotton and the ways this small community adapted and grew. Admission is free, refreshments will be served, and donations are welcomed.

City Council meetings
The Culloden City Council meets the first Friday of each month at 8:30 AM at City Hall, 9 College Street. Meetings are open to the public.
